From the Ashes Film Screening – Colorado Springs

March 28 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join Colorado College and 350 Colorado Springs for a screening of the National Geographic film From the Ashes – a compelling feature documentary that explores one of the country’s most contentious topics — coal and the mining industry. Produced by the Academy Award- and Emmy-winning production company RadicalMedia, directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Michael Bonfiglio, produced by Sidney Beaumont, and executive produced by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Joe Berlinger — as well as Jon Kamen, Katherine Oliver and Justin Wilkes, in partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies — From the Ashes captures Americans in communities across the country as they wrestle with the legacy of the coal industry, and what its future should be under the Trump administration.

Join us at 7pm at Sacred Grounds in the basement of Shove Chapel (enter on N Nevada side of the chapel, there is a ramp that goes down to the door) for this riveting film and a discussion about how coal affects Colorado Springs and how to get involved in helping retire the Martin Drake Coal Plant.
